"Rod has been our real estate agent for over 10 years. We have bought and sold several properties during that time. During each transaction, Rod acted with extreme professionalism and courtesy. He handled difficult transactions with determination and helped to get our asking price. We have never had an issue that Rod was not able to negotiate or handle." There is a lot to consider when buying your new or next home. You want to make sure that you get the BEST house for YOU. Choosing the right home, the right neighborhood, the perfect layout - it can become overwhelming. It doesn't have to be if you journal your thoughts and think about what the most important factors you want in your new home are.
In your journal, include a list of "needs vs. wants" in a new home. This doesn't mean you can't have what you want in your home, but rather that you have a priority list of the most important features. You may not be able to obtain all the "want" items on your list, within your budget. You may have to compromise on a few items to stay in line with your budget. Here is a review of "needs vs. wants:"

"The very reason I thought about approaching Rod to join our company had nothing to do with his OUTSTANDING credentials; experience, education and knowledge (but those are certainly awesome bonuses that go with it).... The very specific reason I looked into his background was because of the way he handled his clients for Mono St. He had the compassion that I like to see in treating clients right... he fought for them... he worked me as hard as he could and communicated very well...he was savvy about the situation and he was disappointed for his clients when it didn't work out... That's why I said to myself... man...I sure would like to have Rod join our team!!! ..." John J. Thyne, Jr, Fellow Realtor - Ventura, CA
